Butcher Babies wrap up Inquisitional Torture North American Tour with Cradle of Filth

rom the moment these monsters stepped onto the stage the world was changed forever. From screaming, low growls and harmonizing vocals the power-pack front women of this team, Carla Harvey and Heidi Shepherd have much more to offer than the average metal vocalists.

Starting with their band, guitarist Henry Flury, bassist Jason Klein and drummer Chris Warner are some of the most skilled musicians I have personally encountered. Chris Warner recently caught the attention of another of RRS’s favorite musicians, Aaron Rossi, Grammy nominated drummer for Prong and Ministry. Rossi took the time to stand backstage and share a picture of this amazing talent via his Instagram account at Rocklahoma Fest this past year.

The two groups are set to share a stage again this year at Chicago’s Open Air festival July 15th–17th in Bridgeview, Illinois. Chicago’s open air festival hosts a plethora of heavy hitters from the Butcher Babies and Ministry to Korn, Meshuggah, Breaking Benjamin and even Carcass, to name a few.

Besides the Butcher Babies’ touring successes these ladies and gents have some amazing accomplishments off stage as well.

Carla Harvey has been experiencing great success with her book “Death and Other Dangers” and her original comic book “Soul Sucker,” while Heidi Shepherd has had much success with her shoe fashion, for sale in her Etsy Store at www.etsy.com/shop/HeidiTheButcher  .

The group’s video Igniter is getting tons of love. Via Battle Royale,

the band tweeted recently “WHOOP WHOOP! Another week sitting pretty at #1! This will be our last week before #Igniter gets retired from the Battle Royale. Let's go out like legends! VOTE EVERY HOUR AT bit.ly/213XuLe”

On stage this powerful five-pack is tearing it up nightly as direct support for Cradle of Filth on the Inquisitional Torture tour.
We were lucky enough to catch their performance live on February 14th at Colorado’s legendary Gothic Theater.
This isn’t the last we have seen of the Butcher Babies in our great state!

Butcher Babies wrap up No One Can Hear You Scream tour with a bang!

This show brings the Butcher Babies full circle and right where they had started over 4 years ago. On the same stage they graced during their first real tour with Otep. Only this time they are in charge! Butcher Babies first headlining tour brings them back to The Black Sheep located in Colorado Springs, Colorado one of the best places to see metal in the area. This performance was no exception with just a few shows left this 5 piece is hot on the high way home as they finish up their headlining tour. Then it’s back home for November to record their next full length album! Until then keep your ears and heads happy pick up their album “Uncovered” a five song album featuring cover songs previously “uncovered” like “Pussy Whipped” by “SOD” and “They are Coming to Take Me Away.” by “Neapolitan XIV” some of my personal favorites from my child hood. And if that isn’t enough for your ear balls pick up “Goliath” their last full length album. It’s sure to make your jaw drop and your body move until their new album comes out. Get out there and fuck some shit up in the pit!!!

Butcher Babies Embark on Hell Pop Tour and more.

It’s no surprise that the ever impressive musical group The Butcher Babies is taking the world by storm with their debut album Goliath released earlier in 2013 under their newly acquired record label Century Media. This power packed five piece is more than meets the eyes and ears. While front ladies Carla and Heidi may look like center folds this fem-fatale duo packs an amazing stage performance and choreographed vocalizations that would impress even the most sophisticated of metal heads. Behind these two bombshells’ is an equally impressive threesome of some very passionate and seasoned musicians. With Henry on Guitar, Jason on bass and Chris on drums, the guitar work, and drum and bass lines are of the highest quality and work flawlessly with the vocals to create a musical experience that is simply jaw dropping and in my opinion, best experienced live. You can catch the Butcher Babies live on tour with In This Moment on their 2014 US Hell Pop Tour or later this Year on their European tour with The Defiled and The Killing Lights.
And don’t forget to pick up a copy of their newest release Goliath it’s a must have for your music player in 2014!

Hailing from the City Of Angels, the BUTCHER BABIES offer redemption from the overplayed underground, exorcising demons with a visceral sound matched only in scope by their explosive stage show. Frontwomen Carla Harvey and Heidi Shepherd, guitarist Henry Flury [Amen], bassist Jason Klein [Azdachao] and drummer Chris Warner [Scars of Tomorrow] juxtapose brutal, aggressive riffs with beautiful melodies that wail with anguish and hope for redemption.

The band signed a worldwide deal with Century Media Records in December 2012, and a month later hit the road with Marilyn Manson on what proved to be one of the new year's most talked about tours. The run was a return to form for Manson and a call to arms for the BUTCHER BABIES, who honed their razor-sharp riffs and soul-searing vocals in front of live audiences as a source of manic pre-production. Only days after wrapping the tour in the City Of Sin, the band was in an L.A. studio with producer Josh Wilbur [Gojira, Lamb Of God, Hatebreed] recording the debut album that has the metal community buzzing.

The eleven-track opus chronicles the story of the forsaken as they transform into GOLIATH - monsters that society has built, and monsters that turn to society for retribution. Suddenly opening track "I Smell A Massacre" is more than just shock rock, casting a cautionary tale to anyone within screaming distance. And once it sinks in that GOLIATH is more than just a figment of our imagination, the rest of the album becomes all the more real.

"Magnolia Blvd" is about the demons that coexist around us all, while "Grim Sleeper" is unsettling and haunting, an angelic intro quickly pulverized by a repressed memory so real we feel the victim's cries. "In Denial" couples blood-curdling angst with more of the melodies that showcase the BUTCHER BABIES unique, two-frontwoman lineup at its most profound - singing and screaming trading hope and rage like caged souls fighting for freedom. "Give Me Reason" bounces hard and fast with hell-bent fury, "The Mirror Never Lies" assaults our reflection with an ominous and catchy chorus, and "The Deathsurround" showcases the band at perhaps its most intense with a song as heavy and brutal as the title suggests.

BUTCHER BABIES celebrate the July 9 release of GOLIATH as part of the 2013 Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival, where they are a mainstay on the Jagermeister stage and spend the summer alongside heavyweights including Rob Zombie, Five Finger Death Punch, Machine Head, Mastodon and Amon Amarth.

With an unrelenting delivery and uncompromising intent to melt faces, GOLIATH is more than just a record - it is the growing enemy that angers, drives and inspires the BUTCHER BABIES. GOLIATH is our common enemy, and BUTCHER BABIES have arrived to deliver the soundtrack that will lead us into battle...
