Gothic Theater 11/16/14

Despite the typical Colorado “heat wave” we have this time of year the War Eternal Tour made its way to the Gothic Theater in Denver Colorado. Fans crowded towards the front of the stage like 100’s of penguins huddling in the together for warmth.
Huntress took the stage directly after Starkill a melodic metal band gracing the opening slot on this most epic tour. Look for their new album “Virus of the Mind” released October 14th 2014.
Singer Jill Janus dominated the stage with her own patented brand of witchery as the band brought their unique and intense energy to the stage with them. The fans went crazy as they pushed against the rails to reach outstretched hands of Janus. Rythum guitarist Eli Santana pulling out all the stops to get the fans going. Even jumping off stage and playing right in front of their faces from the barricade. The fans loved it and the place went insane.  Proving once again that the Huntress does not disappoint.
Then from the mist and smoke comes… Kreator; a thrash metal band from Essen, Germany formed in 1986 out on both the European and American legs of this tour and in support of their DYING ALIVE - LIVE DVD / BLURAY -  released August 2013 and their last full length album PHANTOM ANTICHRIST – Released in June 2012. Kreator was magnificent in their stage show, and performance leaving the audience pumped and ready for more.
Arch Enemy hit the stage with their newest member Alissa White- lead vocals and didn’t miss a beat despite obvious monitor problems Alissa formerly of the Agonist brought the house down with her own unique style and has proven herself to be a welcome and talented addition to the band. Shortly after their Denver performance the band announced that Jeff Loomis formerly of Nevermore just would be taking over as the new guitarist.
All in all I give the War Eternal Tour 4.5 stars
Don’t miss this tour when it comes to a stage near you!
