Denver metal mavericks NECROPANTHER return with their long-awaited new full-length, The Book Of Change, set for release on November 13th.

NECROPANTHER blends thrash, death, and black metal into a distinctive sound built on blistering riffs, intricate arrangements, and an instinct for memorable songwriting. Unbound by traditional genre conventions, the band embraces musical experimentation while maintaining the intensity and aggression at the heart of extreme metal.

With their fifth full-length album, The Book Of Change, NECROPANTHER explores the nature of transformation through both concept and composition. The album features tightly constructed songs, unexpected shifts in tempo and texture, and an expanding range of musical influences. It’s a record that reflects the band’s willingness to challenge its own creative boundaries without sacrificing the power and immediacy of its music.

Comments guitarist Joe Johnson, “The Book Of Change explores this concept of metamorphosis from classic science fiction, horror and literary works, including The Tempest, The Thing, The Fly, Faust, and the video game Rampage. These works inspired us to explore something new that focused on physical transformation, evolution, body horror, and the strangeness of things that are new and unknown.”

In advance of the record’s release, today the band presents the lead single, “The Tempest.” “This track is partially inspired by the opening scene of the Shakespeare play of the same name,” notes Johnson. “A ship is caught in a sorcery-induced storm. We’ve often embraced maritime themes as a band, so this is our storm to bring in the record. The Shakespeare play was inspired by a failed expedition to Bermuda, and the first first songs of the record echo some of those ideas: change and transformation, bargains, and the uncanny consequences of ambition which lead us eventually to monsters and discoveries that are more contemporary.”

“This song is somewhat representative of our intent and growth on this album – stripped down, fast, aggressive, heavy yet retaining musical sophistication,” adds bassist/vocalist Marcus Corich. “We as a group continue to hone our self-production skills and I think this song is a great example of our all-killer-no-filler approach to songwriting we want to highlight.”
