Today Is The Day’s STEVE AUSTIN will take his new outlaw country act out on their first full-on tour in September and October alongside Ramblin’ Ricky Tate.
STEVE AUSTIN released his debut country LP, Marked Cards And Loaded Dice, on his own SuperNova Records in May, where he handled all guitar, bass, and vocals, accompanied by drummer Colin Frecknall, legendary pedal steel master Dana Flood (Hall Of Fame sideman for Hank Williams, Willie Nelson, and George Jones), and fiery fiddle virtuoso Ryu Bennett.
Just two months later, his installment of The Magnolia Sessions was released by Anti-Corp Music in July, which saw AUSTIN performing solo.
While STEVE AUSTIN has performed live over the past year, both with full-band lineups and solo sets, the project’s first official tour is about to begin. The trek launches out of Portland, Maine this Sunday, September 20th, travels through the heartland of the US and returns to the Northeast – including two shows in NYC on October 5th – ending in Boston on October 6th. The live lineup sees AUSTIN flanked by drummer Pat Kennedy (UXO), fiddle player Ian Pasquini, and his son Hank Austin on bass and rhythm vocals.
